Gadsden State Community College librarians Julie Kennedy and Sarah Cooper were selected to present at the 2015 Alabama State Library Annual Convention (ALLA) held recently in Point Clear.

Kennedy, library supervisor at Gadsden State Cherokee, and Cooper, reference librarian at Meadows Library, chose as their topic “Outreach Wins and Fails: Best Practices in Academic Libraries” focusing on how to effectively and economically deliver academic library outreach.

ALLA is a non-profit corporation formed to encourage and promote the welfare of libraries and professional interests of librarians in the State of Alabama. Its mission is to provide leadership for the development, advocacy, and improvement of library and information services and to promote the profession of librarianship, in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all.
