Mayor commends city police officers

City of Gadsden Police Officers pose for a photo with awards presented to them by Gadsden Mayor Craig Ford on December 6 at City Hall. From left, Officer Chris Philllips, Sergeant Danny Haas and Officer Alec Burgess were commended for saving the life of a Gadsden citizen in November who was found on the railroad tracks of Railroad Bridge considering suicide. The three officers helped the individual back to safety, putting themselves in harm’s way in the process.
