Patriots fall short at Fyffe

Trent Thrash carried 16 times for 162 yards and four touchdowns as No. 8 Fyffe defeated West End, 55-20, on Froday (Sept. 13) in Class 2A, Region 7 action. 

Fyffe (2-1, 2-0) rolled up 457 yards rushing while holding West End to 223 yards of total offense, including 162 rushing.

The Patriots scored when Levi Weems picked up a Fyffe fumble and raced 54 yards to the end zone with 7:31 left in the second quarter. Chase Blanton also scored for West End in the period, while Caegan Epperson scored on a 6-yard run in the final quarter. 

Blanton led West End with 17 carries for 56 yards.

West End (0-3, 0-2) plays host to Westbrook Christian on Friday in another region game.
