West End High gets one more try at a victory, facing a much-improved Good Hope football team.

The injury-plagued Patriots have had a rough season, having to call up many junior varsity players to fill the varsity roster.

Meanwhile, the Raiders have enjoyed a good season after four dismal seasons of their own. Good Hope managed only seven wins from 2009-12.

Last week against Gaston, Chase Blanton and Caegan Epperson each scored a rushing touchdown.

Editor’s note: Repeated attempts to contact West End head football coach Randy Hallmark were unsuccessful.
