West End (0-5, 0-3)  at North Sand Mountain (4-1, 2-1)

Last week’s results: Cleveland 49, West End 8; NSM 35, Sylvania 13

2012 meeting: NSM 41, West End 12

Series record: West End leads 2-1

West End High continues to search for its first victory of the season. At this point, playing spoiler to other teams is the best chance for the Patriots.

West End hasn’t had much luck and last week, had to play without starting quarterback Levi Weems. It is unknown whether or not Weems will play against Class 2A, Region 7 rival North Sand Mountain.

A Bison victory would almost certainly knock the Patriots out of any playoff contention, while a Patriots win would give the Altoona/Walnut Grove squad a glimmer of hope.
