FacebookGoogle+TwitterLinkedIn

Where were you born and raised?

I was born and raised in Rainbow City, Alabama.

What is your occupation?

I’m an Insurance Agent at Ford Insurance Agency.

What made you decide to work in your field?

I love interacting with people, meeting new people and helping people.

Tell us about your family and pets

I have been married for 17 years to Tyler and we have three rambunctious boys, Koltn, 16; Memphis, 12; and Logan, 10. We have a Chocolate Lab named Hank.

Describe an average day in your life

I wake up and get the boys up and ready for school. I take the two younger ones to school then come to Ford Insurance to work. After working till 5 p.m., I go home and cook dinner (most nights) watch some of my favorite shows and get the boys ready for bed.

What school or schools have you attended?

I graduated from Westbrook Christian School in 2002. I have attended Gadsden State for some basic courses. Also, I have gone to school in Clearwater, Florida, at Ultimate Medical Academy for Medical Assistant.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Currently we are remodeling our kitchen, which has been an adventure. Other than that I like taking my boys on adventures (when I can get them out of the house)!

What would you say is your greatest accomplishment?

My boys are my greatest accomplishments and the fact that me and my husband have made it this long against the odds we have faced.

Name the one person that has been

the most influential in your life. Why?

It would be my mom. She has overcome many things in her lifetime and has shown me how to be strong but also have a soft heart and a clear head. She has always had my back and cheered me on in everything I do.

To what do you credit your success?

I put my heart into whatever job I’m doing. I think that is what makes me successful.

Are you involved in any service organizations?

Not at the present time due to COVID.

What is your favorite thing about this community?

My favorite thing about this community is how when something goes wrong in the community, everyone rallies together to help each other out in the time of need.

What would you like to see change in the community?

I would like Gadsden to be the place to come for activities and shopping. We need a good water park and pool so we don’t have to travel to visit a place. We need to focus on our mall also.

What is something surprising that

many do not know about you?

I don’t think there are any surprises with me. I am a pretty transparent person.

What is your favorite quote?

“It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to will have power over you, if you allow it.”

What is on your bucket list?

I love to travel, so I would love to travel the U.S. and visit some countries overseas.

What is your hidden talent?

I can’t think of any… again I am pretty open about my life.

If a movie were made about your life,

who would you want to play you?

Probably Reese Witherspoon.

What advice would you give yourself as a child?

Don’t let anyone crush your dreams, listen to what your parents have to say and take chances even if you are afraid to fail. If you fail, get up and try again!
