Sardis, Westbrook volleyball teams post sweeps

Sardis defeated West End, 25-15, 25-12 and Gaston, 25-9, 25-17 on Thursday, Aug. 29 in Walnut Grove. For the Lady Lions (6-1), Vada Wilmore (pictured above) had 29 kills, nine digs and three aces; Emersyn Greer had 35 assists; Ava Garrard had five aces and five digs; Jordyn Knight had five kills and five digs; and Judsyn Greer had six digs.

Westbrook Christian improved to 11-0 with a 25-14, 25-23, 25-8 sweep over Sand Rock on Thursday, Aug. 29. For the Lady Warriors, Raylee Neal had 21 assists, 10 digs and three kills; Ellison Stewart had 12 digs, nine kills and three aces; Landri Lipscomb had nine kills, three blocks and two aces; Sara Cate Windle had 11 digs; Marley Cox had five kills and five digs; Addi Hammontree had four digs, four blocks and two kills; and Caroline Taylor had three kills.

Sardis beat Ashville, 25-12, 21-25, 15-12 on Monday, Aug. 26 and Glencoe, 25-20, 25-21, 22-25, 25-21 on Tuesday, Aug. 27. For the Lady Lions, Vada Wilmore had 33 kills and nine digs; Jordyn Knight had 19 digs, 14 kills and seven aces; Emersyn Greer had 51 assists; Kate Holland had 11 digs and eight aces; Judsyn Greer had 11 digs; and Malee Ellis had eight digs.
