Warriors fall to Sand Rock in region opener

Westbrook Christian opened its Class 2A, Region 6 schedule with a 32-13 loss to Sand Rock on September 3 in Rainbow City.
For the Warriors (1-1, 0-1), Mason Coley completed 15 of 29 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown. Carl Henry had six receptions for 95 yards.
Karmichael Cattling rushed for 68 yards on 17 carries, while Coley ran 10 times for 37 yards.
C.J. Townsel had seven tackles, followed by Coley, Jackson Barron and Jackson Shoars with four each.
Westbrook travels to region rival Southeastern this Friday (Sept. 10).
