Ashville High runners receive state championship rings

Five current and former Ashville High School student-athletes were honored on December 7 with their state championship rings from the AHSAA Class 4A state track and field meet in May. AHS junior Emma Drinkard won gold medals in the 400-meter dash and the 4×800-meter relay, AHS junior Joe Stevens won the gold medal in the 3200-meter run and AHS senior Kathleen McCarthy and 2020 AHS graduates Callie Stewart and Meghan McCarthy won gold medals in the 4×800-meter relay.
