Jefferson’s opens new waterfront location on Weiss Lake

A locally-based restaurant chain has expanded its footprint with the opening of a new waterfront location on Weiss Lake in Cedar Bluff.

Jefferson’s officially opened its newest restaurant June 25 at 3440 AL-9, taking over the former location of Weiss Lake 360 Bar & Grill. The new location gives guests the opportunity to enjoy the restaurant’s signature wings, burgers and other menu items while taking in views of one of Alabama’s popular boating and fishing destinations.

Located just west of Weiss Mart Marina, Jefferson’s of Weiss Lake features four docks that allow customers to arrive by boat. The docks have been renovated, with additional improvements planned by the end of the year. The location is one of only a few restaurants on Weiss Lake that offers direct boat access.

The waterfront restaurant features lofted ceilings, oversized televisions, panoramic lake views, a shaded terrace and outdoor seating areas, making it a destination for lake visitors and sports fans.

The new Cedar Bluff location is operated by co-franchisees Robby Coggin and Jake Lund, who oversee a growing group of Jefferson’s restaurants throughout North Alabama and Georgia. The Weiss Lake restaurant marks the company’s first and only waterfront location.

“People spend their days on the lake fishing, boating, and relaxing with family and friends,” Lund said. “We wanted to create a welcoming place that makes it easy for them to walk, drive, boat, or jetski up and grab a meal, catch a game, or watch the sun go down. We’re excited to make Jefferson’s part of their lake-day tradition.”

Jefferson’s is known for its fresh-never-frozen wings, hand-pattied burgers and hand-breaded chicken tenders.

The restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
