Class 2A No. 1 Westbrook Christian improved to 13-6 after a 10-2 victory over Class 7A Austin last Tuesday (Mar. 30) in Oxford. In six innings, winning pitcher Samuel scattered three hits, two runs and one walk while striking out 13. At the plate for the Warriors, Brodie Self went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and two run scored; Fisher Glasgow went 2-for-3 with two runs scored; Will Noles two hits, an RBI and two runs scored; Cole Patterson and Micaiah Myers each had a hit, an RBI and a run scored; and Presley White had a double and three RBI.

Sardis 9, Eufaula 0
Blaze’s Gerhart pitched a complete-game shutout in Sardis’ 9-0 win over Eufaula last Tuesday (Mar. 30) at the Albertville Invitational Tournament. Gerhart struck out seven in seven innings. Gerhart and Ty Glass each had two RBI for the Lions, while Luke Weems and Brody Samples each had two hits.

Dothan 5, Westbrook 2
Westbrook Christian lost to Dothan, 5-2, last Tuesday (Mar. 30) in Oxford. For the Warriors, Fisher Glasgow went 2-for-4 with a run scored, while Presley White had a hit and two RBI.

Sardis 8, Pleasant Valley 2
Blaze Gerhart, Justin Golden and Carson Grant each had two hits in Sardis’ 8-2 victory over Pleasant Valley last Monday (Feb. 29) at the Albertville Invitational Tournament. Sean Wright had two RBI for the Lions.

Sardis 11, Randolph County 1
Sardis pounded out 13 hits on the way to an 11-1 victory over Randolph County last Monday (Feb. 29) at the Albertville Invitational Tournament. For the Lions, Carson Grant had three hits and four RBI; Brody Samples had three hits; Landon Carroll had two hits and Carson Gillilan had two RBI. Samples earned the win on the mound, striking out seven in six innings.

Appalachian 2, West End 1
Appalachian edged West End, 2-1, last Monday (Feb. 29) in Walnut Grove. Ty Taylor struck out nine in six innings for the Patriots.

Gadsden City 4, Alexandria 3
Jace Gray struck out eight in four innings as Gadsden City edged Alexandria, 4-3, last Saturday (Feb. 27). Kyle Cline had a hit and an RBI for the Titans.

Westbrook Christian 10, Sand Rock 0
Will Noles limited Sand Rock to two hits and one walk while striking out nine in Westbrook’s 10-0 Class 2A, Area 10 win on Feb. 26 in Rainbow City. Noles helped his cause by going 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Also for the top-ranked Warriors, Samuel Dutton went 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored. Fisher Glasgow went 2-for-4 with two runs scored; while Brodie Self and Micaiah Myers each had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.
