Several local high school football players were recently named to the Class 2A, All-Region 6 team.
Selected from Westbrook Christian were senior running back Karmichael Cattling (pictured above), senior offensive lineman Hayes Wiggins, junior offensive lineman C.J. Townsel and junior kicker Layton Crawford.
Representing West End were junior receiver Thad Pearce and sophomore linebacker Rockman Sainsbury.
Picked from Gaston was senior defensive lineman Brady Underwood.
Earning honorable mention recognition were Jackson Shoars, Kinnedy Cranfield, Mason Coley,
Jesi Andres, Aiden Hull, Hugh Windell and Gray Skelton from Westbrook Christian; Isaiah Robertson, Ashton Self, Tyler Jones and Jake Edwards from West End; and Nemo Samples and Kobe Harris from Gaston.
