Blue Devils jam Arab for fifth straight win

The rushing-passing punch of Devin Horton and Tyler Bishop led visiting Etowah over Class 5A, Region 7 foe Arab last Friday (Oct. 12).

Horton carried 15 times for 105 yards and a touchdown, while Bishop went 7-for-8 in passing for 133 yards and a scoring strike to Jacob Baker. 

Paul Ruiz recorded a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, while Dominick Pinson scored on a 1-yard run.

Dillon Tucker and Jay Duckett each grabbed an interception for the Blue Devils (6-1, 4-1).

Despite a 390-352 advantage in total yards, turnovers plagued Arab (5-2, 3-2). In addition to being intercepted twice, the Knights also lost a pair of fumbles, one of which set up Pinson’s score.
