Blue Devils’ region winning streak ends

Etowah’s four-year region winning streak came to an end on October 1 in Attalla.
The Blue Devils’ 20-19 loss to Good Hope snapped the program’s region streak at 29 games, dating back to Week 9 of the 2016 season.
For Etowah, Jameson Scissum was 17 for 19 in passing for 166 yards and a touchdown. Omareon Finch (pictured above) caught 11 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown, while Michael Bostick had five receptions for 49 yards and Andrew Pierce had four for 54.
Etowah (3-3, 3-1) hosts region rival Hanceville this Friday (Oct. 8).
