Blue Devils win, Titans, Eagles come up short

  Etowah posted a 37-7 victory over Class 5A, Region 7 rival Brewer on Friday (Sept. 13) in Sommerville. 

The Blue Devils (3-0, 3-0) face region foe Columbia at home on Friday.

Gadsden City suffered a 6-0 shutout at the hands of Class 6A, Region 7 rival Oxford on Friday (Sept. 13). 

For theTitans (1-2, 1-1) Sloan Tyler completed 14-of-19 passes for 74 yards, Dante Rudolph rushed for 51 yards on 17 carries. 

Gadsden City continues region play on Friday with a home game against  Albertville.

Hokes Bluff lost to Alexandria, 48-28, in a Class 4A, Region 6 game on Friday (Sept. 13).

The Eagles (0-3, 0-3) host Lincoln on Friday.
