Oneonta senior and University South Alabama commit Fluff Bothwell accounted for eight touchdowns to help the Redskins post a 62-36 Class 4A, Region 6 victory over Etowah on Oct. 6
in Attalla.
Bothwell carried 24 times for 265 yards and four touchdowns, caught four passes for 122 yards and three touchdowns and completed his only pass for a 40-yard touchdown. Bothwell, who was also credited with 17 tackles and a sack on defense, scored on runs of six, 20, 40 and two yards and caught TD passes covering 37, 34 and 40 yards.
For the Blue Devils, Jameson Scissum scored on touchdown runs of four and two yards and caught a 68-yard touchdown pass.
Etowah (2-4, 2-2) plays at Hanceville on Oct.13 in region action.
