Bulldogs finish third at track & field sectionals

 The Gaston High boys finished third overall at the Class 2A Section 3 track & field meet on Apr. 25-26 at Corner High School. 

The Bulldogs travel to Selma on Friday and Saturday to compete in the Class 2A state meet. 

The Bulldogs’ 400-meter relay team Shai Ogles, Albert Douglas, Josh Bogle and Mitchell Smith finished first.

Jason Bogle finished second in the triple jump, high jump and javelin events and took third in the shot put. 

Jacob Johnson set a personal record of 4:56 for second place in the 1600-meter run. He also finished second in the 3200-metrer run and third in the 800-meter run. 

Also finishing third were Shai Ogles in the long jump, Mitchell Smith in the 200-meter run, Taylor Hawkins in the javelin and the 1600-meter relay team of Ogles, Hawkins, Cordell Moore and Josh Bogle.
