Bulldogs, Warriors end season on winning note

Gaston finished its season with a 50-6 victory over Brindlee Mountain on October 28 in Guntersville. The Bulldogs (3-7) posted three more wins than in all of the 2019, 2020 and 2020 seasons. For Gaston, Josh Hester rushed five times for 91 yards and two touchdowns, Kobe Harris (pictured above at left) gained 76 yards on seven attempts and Gauge Barron had five carries for 61 yards and a touchdown.Kodie Bogle returned an interception 95 yards for a touchdown.

Westbrook Christian ended its season with a 47-27 victory over White Plains on October 28 in Rainbow City. For the Warriors (5-5), Karmichael Catling rushed for 199 yards and four touchdowns on 27 carries. Mason Coley was 9 for 15 in passing for 99 yards and two touchdowns. H also rushed 10 times for 72 yards and a score. Caleb McCarty and Hugh Windle each had four receptions, the former for 58 yards and a touchdown and the latter for 30 yards and a score.
