Coosa, West End, Sardis, Hokes Bluff qualify for regional volleyball tournament

Coosa Christian lost to Cedar Bluff, 25-23, 25-13, 25-18, in the Class 1A Area 13 Tournament championship match on Thursday, October 14 at Cedar Bluff.
The Lady Conquerors qualified for the Super Regional Tournament in Huntsville, where they will open against South Lamar on Thursday (Oct. 21) at 11:30 a.m.
Coosa defeated Gaylesville in the area tournament semifinals.
For the tournament for the Lady Conquerors, Erin Snow had 23 digs, Mills Douthard had 18 assists, four digs, three kills, three aces and three blocks; Evelyn Nowak had 11 digs and eight kills; Amira Augustus has eight digs and two kills; Kailah East had three kills and two blocks; and Kate England had three blocks.

West End defeated Southeastern, 25-20, 25-18, 25-18, in the Class 2A, Area 11 Tournament championship match on Thursday, October 14 in Walnut Grove. The Lady Patriots (14-14) will face Mars Hill Bible on Wednesday (Oct. 20) at 11:30 a.m. at the Super Regional Tournament in Huntsville.

Sardis fell to Boaz, 17-25, 23-25, 25-13, 25-18, 15-5, in the Class 5A, Area 13 Tournament championship match on Thursday, October 14 in Boaz. The Lady Lions (27-23) qualified for the Super Regional Tournament in Huntsville, where they will open against Ramsay on Wednesday (Oct. 20) at 2 p.m.

Hokes Bluff lost to Geraldine, 15-25, 10-25, 10-25 in the finals of the Class 3A, Area 12 Tournament last Saturday (Oct. 16) at Geraldine. The Lady Eagles (12-16) qualified for the Super Regional Tournament in Huntsville, where they will open against Danville on Wednesday (Oct. 20) at 11:30 a.m.
