Eagles, Patriots, Lions, Conquerors come up short

Hokes Bluff fell to Saks, 21-7, in the Eagles’ final Class 3A, Region 5 game of the season on October 22.
Hokes Bluff’s lone score came on Jordan Bradley’s 4-yard touchdown run with 3:30 left in the fourth quarter.
For the Eagles (3-6, 3-4), Tucker Griffin (pictured above) rushed for 130 yards on 29 carries.
Hokes Bluff closes out the season this Friday (Oct. 29) at home against Sardis.

West End ended its season with a 35-20 loss to Class 2A, Region 6 rival Locust Fork on October 22 in Walnut Grove. For the Patriots (5-5, 2-5), Tyler Jones was 19 for 28 in passing for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Thad Pearce caught eight passes for 133 yards and a TD, while Jay Glover had nine receptions for 68 yards. Isaiah Roberson rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.

Sardis lost to Fairview 56-14, on October 22 in the Lions’ final Class 5A, Region 7 game of the season.
The Lions got on the scoreboard via Brody Samples’ 4-yard touchdown pass to Eli Morton and Kane Lawson 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Samples was 4 for 17 in passing for 35 yards. Morton and Colt Huff each caught two passes.
Sardis (1-8, 1-7) finishes the season this Friday (Oct. 29) at home against Hokes Bluff.

Coosa Christian lost to Cedar Bluff, 35-7, in the Conquerors’ final Class 1A Region 7 contest. Coosa (4-5, 3-3) hosts Whitesburg Christian this Friday (Oct. 29) to close out the season.
