Hokes Bluff lost to Walter Wellborn, 30-10, in Class 3A, Region 5 action on October 8 in Anniston.
For the Eagles (3-4, 3-2), Tucker Griffin rushed for 114 yards on 17 carries. Jordan Bradley was 10 for 24 in passing for 123 yards. Cole Stone had three receptions, followed by Noah Monday and Logan Wiemann with two each.
Hokes Bluff continues regional play this Friday (Oct. 15) at home against Piedmont.

Gadsden City fell to Thompson, 41-7, in Class 7A, Region 3 action on October 8 in Alabaster. The Titans’ lone score came with 1:13 left in the game on Luke Waldrop’s 16-yard touchdown pass to Mason Johnson.
Waldrop was 8 for 16 in passing for 100 yards. Johnson had five receptions for 47 yards, while Khamari Smith caught two passes for 39 yards. DeAndre Kirkpatrick had five tackles, Elijah Taylor had a sack and Malik Woods had an interception.
Gadsden City (5-3, 2-3) hosts Hewitt-Trussville this Friday (October 15) on Senior Night.

West End fell to Sand Rock, 42-27, in Class 2A, Region 6 action on October 8.
For the Patriots (4-4, 2-3), Tyler Jones was 8 for 19 is passing for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Thad Pearce had four receptions for 63 yards while pacing the West End ground game with 71 yards and two touchdowns on four carries. Rockman Sainsbury added 72 yards on nine attempts. Jake Edwards had eight tackles, followed by Sainsbury and Isaiah Roberson with seven each, Jay Glover with six and Kaiden Silor with five.
West End continues region play this Friday (Oct. 15) at Southeastern.

Glencoe fell to Class 3A, Region 5 rival Ohatchee, 41-10, on October 15.
Andrew Wright and Levi Long each rushed for a touchdown for the Yellow Jackets (0-7, 0-5). Wright gained 50 yards on six carries, while Long ran six times for 44 yards. Long led the way defensively with seven tackles, followed by Mason Teague with five and Garrett Morgan and Austin Mann with four each. Kade Kueny had an interception. Glencoe travels to Saks this Friday (Oct. 15) for more region action.
