Gadsden State runners compete at Warhawk Invitational

The Gadsden State cross country teams both finished fourth at the Calhoun Warhawk Invitational at Oakville Indian Mounds Park on October 7.
The GSCC men posted an average time of 31:02.44 in the 8K event, while the women averaged 23:20.49 in the 5K competition.
Ashton Vann paced the Cardinals with a seventh-place time of 28:18.40 out of 67 runners, while Jordan Clark led the Lady Cardinals with a 12th place time of 21:38.26 out of 64 runners.
Top 20 performers for Gadsden State were Mallory Rich (22:38.15) and Javier Soto (30:15.00), who finished 17th and 20th, respectively, in the women and men’s races.
Also competing for Gadsden State men were Jose Benitez (26th, 31:06.30), Jaylon Rivers (34th, 32:05.50), Yael Lucas (41st, 33:27.00) and Justin Dempsey (45th, 34:08.50).
Running for the GSCC women were Lacey Rich (28th, 23:40.51), Gabrielle More (34th, 24:13.50), Chloe Davidson (36th, 24:32.00), Camryn Bell (39th, 25:13.95) and Keira Johnson (41st, 25:45.38).
