Girls basketball roundup: Southside, Sardis post wins

Southside earned its first win of the season with a 53-31 victory over Etowah on December 2. Ella Knowlton paced the Lady Panthers with 15 points, followed by Madison Shaw (pictured above) with 11 and Lexy Cline with nine. Ella Knowlton pulled down seven rebounds, while Lexy Cline cleared six and Shaw five. Jaylee Divine led Etowah with 11 points.

Sardis improved to 7-1 on the season with a 44-30 win over Hokes Bluff last Tuesday (Nov. 30). Jayda Lacks paced the Lady Lions with 14 points, followed by Lily Towns with eight and Kytha Edwards with six. Belle Trammell distributed out eight assists.
