Two Gadsden State Community College employees graduate from the Alabama Community College Leadership Academy.

The graduates were Director of Financial Services Jacqueline Clark and art instructor Mario Gallardo.

The Academy is sponsored by the University of Alabama Colleges of Continuing Studies and Education in cooperation with the Alabama Community College System, the University of Alabama System, and the Alabama Commission on Higher Education.

The certificate program, designed for dynamic community college leaders, provides a yearlong leadership development program.

The program helps to prepare participants for senior level management opportunities.

Gallardo and Clark participated in a variety of lectures, seminars, and workshops that focused on leadership, policies, finance, instruction, and development.

Since the Academy began in 2000, Gadsden State has sponsored two employees each term.

Acting President Bill Blow said, “We are proud to sponsor individuals annually to participate in this opportunity that expands their knowledge, builds confidence, and enhances the creative thinking processes. We congratulate Gallardo and Clark for achieving this goal while enriching their leadership skills.”
