Southside lost to Lawrence County, 6-2, last Wednesday (Mar. 31) at the Gulf Coast Classic Tournament in Gulf Shores. Julia Hurley had a home run, two RBI and a run scored for the Lady Panthers.

Columbia (Tenn.) Academy 9, Southside 3
Southside fell to Columbia (Tenn.) Academy, 9-3, last Tuesday (Mar. 30) at the Gulf Coast Classic Tournament in Gulf Shores. Lynnsey Hunt, Macey Herren and Raeleigh McBurnett each had a hit and a run scored for the Lady Panthers, while Carley Lankford (pictured above) and Karlee Thompson each had a hit and an RBI.

Lawrence County 10, Southside 9
Lawrence County edged Southside, 10-9, last Tuesday (Mar. 30) at the Gulf Coast Classic Tournament in Gulf Shores. For the Lady Panthers, Lynnsey Hunt went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored; Carley Lankford went 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored; Sydney Yancey had a home run, two RBI and a run scored; Karlee Thompson had a hit, two RBI and a run scored; and Macey Herren and Bailey Houston each had a hit and an RBI.

Hokes Bluff 8, Ragland 2
Kileigh Blackwell had two hits and Gracie Blair and Ava Dodd each had two RBI in Hokes Bluff’s 8-2 win over Ragland last Tuesday (Mar. 30).

Spring Garden 5, Hokes Bluff 1
Hokes Bluff lost to Class 1A No. 8 Spring Garden, 5-1, last Tuesday (Mar. 30). Madi Wolfe had two hits for the Lady Eagles.

Hokes Bluff 8, Ider 0
Maddie Smith had two hits and two RBI in Hokes Bluff’s 8-0 shutout over Ider last Monday (Feb. 29). Grace Blair had two RBI for the Lady Eagles, while Haleigh Skelton had two hits. Winning pitcher Kileigh Blackwell struck out two in five innings.

Orange Beach 7, Southside 2
Southside lost to Orange Beach, 7-2, last Monday (Feb. 29 at the Gulf Coast Classic Tournament in Gulf Shores. For the Lady Panthers, Macey Herren went 2-for-w with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored; Julia Hurley had a double and an RBI; and Carley Lanford had a hit and a run scored.

Southside 8, Gordonsville 5
Carley Lankford went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored in Southside, 8-5 win over Gordonsville (Tenn.) last Monday (Feb. 29) at the Gulf Coast Classic Tournament in Gulf Shores. Also for the Lady Panthers, Lynnsey Hunt and Macey Herren each had a hit, an RBI and a run scored; Bailey Houston had a hit and an RBI; and Karlee Thompson had a hit and two runs scored. Winning pitcher Lexi Darnell scattered five hits, two earned runs and two walks in four innings.

Hokes Bluff 8, Gaston 2
Kiliegh Blackwell had three RBI and Rosie Garrett added two in Hokes Bluff’s 8-2 victory over Gaston last Monday (Feb. 29). Winning pitcher Peyton Ward had three strikeouts in five innings. Emma Samples had two hits for the Lady Bulldogs.
