Patriots, Eagles, Blue Devils fall in first round

West End’s season came to end on Friday,  Nov. 10 with a 48-0 loss to Fyffe in the first round of the Class 2A state playoffs. For the Patriots (5-6), Marty Wooten was 7 for 14 in passing for 7 yards. Jackson Mayo had five receptions for 5 yards.

Hokes Bluff fell to Madison Academy, 57-20, in the first round of the Class 3A state playoffs on Friday, Nov. 10. The Eagles ended the season at 5-6.

Etowah lost to West Morgan, 56-0, in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs on Nov. 10 in Trinity. The Blue Devils finished the year with a 3-8 record.
