Southside, Sardis, Westbrook, Gaston, Ashville fall short

Southside lost to Fort Payne, 26-14, in Class 6A Region 7 action on October 8 at Barney Hood Stadium. The Panthers (5-3, 3-2) host region rival Scottsboro this Friday (Oct. 15).

Sardis fell to West Point, 14-8, on October 8. The Lions’ lone score came midway through the fourth quarter on Brody Samples’ (pictured above) 39-yard touchdown pass to Garrett Burns. Sardis (0-7, 0-4) hosts region rival Crossville this Friday (Oct. 15).

Ashville lost to Dora, 21-0, in Class 4A, Region 6 action on October 8. The Bulldogs (4-3, 0-4) visit Hanceville this Friday (Oct. 15).

Westbrook Christian lost to Spring Garden, 36-7, in a Class 2A, Region 6 game on October 8. The Warriors (2-5, 1-4) visit region rival Cleveland this Friday (Oct. 15).

Gaston lost to Class 2A, Region 6 rival Cleveland, 61-7, on October 8. The Bulldogs (1-7, 1-4) travel to Locust Fork this Friday (Oct. 15).
