Andre Little scored a game-high 18 points to lead West End
to a 52-40 win over the Gaston Bulldogs in Class 2A, Area 12 boys basketball
action on Tuesday (Dec. 8) in Walnut Grove.

“This is a bunch of resilient kids,” said West End head
coach Clint Brannon. “They play hard for each other and feel they can beat
anyone. This was a good win for us.”

The Patriots jumped out to a 15-13 first quarter lead and
built the advantage to 25-15 at the half.

The Bulldogs made a run to draw within to 36-33 after three
periods, but a 16-9 stretch by the hosts provided the final margin of victory.

Hunter Grant added 17 points for the Patriots. Jason Bogle
paced Gaston with eight points.
