Yellow Jackets kick off season with win over Weaver

Scott Martin earned his first victory as Glencoe head coach after the Yellow Jackets’ 28-6 victory on August 26.
Glencoe (1-0) finished with a 273 to 167 advantage in total yards. Senior quarterback Nolan Fairley (pictured above) rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns, the first from three yards out and the second from 66 yards away. Wade Segrest ran 10 times for 88 yards and a 14-yard touchdown, while Austin Mann rushed for 45 yards and a 2-yard TD on 12 carries.
Glencoe opens Class 3A, Region 6 play this Friday (Sept. 2) at Hokes Bluff.
