Sardis edged Hokes Bluff, 61-60, on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Hokes Bluff. The Lions led 19-18 after one period and 33-32 at halftime and trailed 44-43 after three quarters. For Sardis (5-1), Carson Gillilan had 14 points, four assists, two rebounds and two steals; Kason Moore had 14 points, three rebounds and three steals; Eli Morton had 10 points, seven rebounds, four assist and three steals; and Luke Martin scored nine points. For the Eagles, Landon Davenport had 22 points and five rebounds; Noah Johnson and Anderson Morgan each scored 12 points; and Alexander Moland had 10 points and five rebounds.

Four players scored in double figures in Etowah’s 81-57 win over Talladega on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Jameson Scissum (pictured above) finished with 23 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals; Jalien Walker contributed 16 points and eight rebounds; Jacob Turner collected 14 points, four assists and four steals; and Marquan Mahone chipped in 10 points and six rebounds.

Jalien Walker finished with 21 points, six rebounds and four steals in Etowah’s 72-62 victory over Boaz on Monday, Nov. 27. Jameson Scissum scored 18 points, while Jacob Turner shot 92 percent (11-for-12) from the free throw line on the way to 16 points. Lamont Richardson added eight points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Sardis improved to 5-1 with a pair of wins at the Supreme Courts Tournament in Guntersville.
On Nov. 21, the Lions defeated Calera, 62-48. Sardis led 18-14 after one period, 31-26 at halftime and 43-31 after three quarters. Carson Gillilan paced the Lions with 18 points, followed by Luke Martin with 16 and Jacob Bozarth with 14. Martin grabbed eight rebounds, while Bozarth cleared four.
On Nov. 22, Martin dropped in 21 points to lead Sardis to a 64-33 victory over Susan Moore. Lucas Montgomery added nine points, while Gillilan and Andrew Felter both scored eight. Felter pulled down five rebounds, followed by Martin, Montgomery and Gillilan with three each.

Etowah fell to Fort Payne, 53-41, 0n Nov. 20. Jalien Walker scored 16 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Blue Devils.

Jalien Walker posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds in Etowah’s 56-49 victory over Westbrook Christian on Nov. 18 in Attalla. Jameson Scissum finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and six steals, while Marquan Mahone chipped in 10 points. Eli Edge scored 18 points for the Warriors, while Cooper Greer contributed 10 points and six rebounds. Nolan Terrell cleared 11 boards.
