Panthers fall short at Lincoln

Southside fell to Lincoln, 14-6, in the Panthers’ season opener on August 20 at Lincoln.
For Southside, Gauge Nesmith completed 11 of 18 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown.
Cody Roberts (pictured above) and Maddox Parsons each had four receptions for 47 yards, with Roberts scoring a touchdown. Parson was also the team’s leading rusher with 51 yards on 20 carries.
Tytan Rich led defensively with 16 tackles, followed by Jacob Davis with 13 and Carson Riddlespur with 11.
Taylor Carr had two interceptions, while John Gilbert finished with seven tackles, including three for a loss, and a sack.
