Westbrook sweeps through West End Invitational

The undefeated Westbrook Christian volleyball team swept its way to the West End Invitational tournament last Saturday (Aug. 27) in Walnut Grove.
The Lady Warriors (11-0) opened with a 25-19, 25-18 victory over the host Lady Patriots, followed by wins over Sardis (25-16, 25-21), Ashville (25-9, 25-22) and Douglas (25-14, 25-16).
Excluding the Ashville match for Westbrook, Raylee Neal had 56 assists, 10 digs, and eight kills; Landri Lipscomb had 16 kills, five digs, four aces and two blocks; Ellison Stewart had 16 kills, 12 digs and six aces; Raegan Harrell had 10 kills, seven aces, three digs and two blocks; Henley Beddingfield had 21 digs and two aces; Kylee Wyatt had 13 digs and two aces; Taylor Meador had five kills, three aces and two digs; and Marley Cox had six digs, four kills, two assist and two aces.
