Westbrook goes 2-2 at CCHS tournament

The Westbrook Christian volleyball team finished off the regular season by going 2-2 at the Cherokee County Blackout Tournament last Saturday (Oct. 14) in Centre.
The Class 3A No. 4 Lady Warriors (27-13, 4-0) defeated White Plains, 25-17. 25-15 and Brindlee Mountain, 25-17, 25-15 and lost to Cherokee County, 25-15, 21-25, 9-15 and Sand Rock, 4-25, 21-25.
For the tournament for Westbrook, Landri Lipscomb (pictured above) had 20 digs, 18 kills, 12 aces and one block; Raegan Harrell had 28 kills, 17 digs and four aces; Raylee Neal had 47 assists, two kills and one ace; Marley Cox had 23 digs, 13 kills, four aces and two blocks; Reid Elam had 19 assists and 16 digs; Ellison Stewart had 19 kills, six digs and two aces; Kylee Wyatt had 22 digs and two aces; Henley Beddingfield had 14 digs and three aces; Sara Kate Windle had nine digs; and Caroline Taylor had five blocks and two kills.
The Lady Warriors will host the Class 3A Area 11 Tournament this Thursday, Oct. 19. Glencoe and Hokes Bluff play at 4:30 p.m., with the winner facing Westbrook at approximately 6 p.m.
