Expect a hard-fought game tonight (Oct. 18) in Rainbow City, as Section High looks to get a bit of revenge from last season.

“We’re a different team, for sure, from last year,” Westbrook Christian coach Tony Osborne said. “We still do the same stuff, but the key skill players are all different.”

Section comes in with possibly the best back in Class 2A, Region 7 in Christopher Manning and plenty of other experienced players to back him up.

“They improved a lot last year and are even better this year,” Osborne said. “And (Manning) may be the best back we’ve faced all year.”

Westbrook started the season with a young team that has improved each week.

“Last week, our effort and enthusiasm were great,” Osborne said. “If we play like that every week, we’ve got a chance.”

Last week against Sand Rock, Will Appleton completed 12-of-28 pass attempts for 171 yards and rushed for 62 yards and two scores on 14 carries.
