Hokes Bluff Cityfest returns this Saturday

Hokes Bluff Cityfest will return to Hokes Bluff City Park Saturday, September 23 and will start with breakfast at 7 a.m.

The Hokes Bluff Tawannah Lions Club will serve breakfast for $5 starting at until 10 a.m. Coinciding with breakfast, a cruise in car show will be in the park area until 1 p.m.

The annual event has activities for guests of all ages, including children. There will be free carnival rides in the designated kid zone from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Visitors can get a jump-start on Christmas shopping, as vendors of all sorts will be set up at Cityfest. There will be vendors set up selling food and drinks.

Vendors will open at 10 a.m. until approximately 9:30 p.m.

Live music entertainment will begin at 3 p.m. and guests are invited to bring their own lawn chairs.

This year, Them Dirty Roses will headline the event at 8 p.m., with Pleasant Gap Band, Midnight State of Mind, Kaleb King, Sons of the Moon and Foggy Hollow performing throughout the day.

Hokes Bluff Cityfest is made free to the public thanks to the contributions of several dozen sponsors, including local political leaders, businesses and individuals.
