Several Hokes Bluff student-athletes earned points at the Class 3A, Section 2 track & field meet on Apr. 27-28 at Beauregard High School.
Fourth-place showings for the Lady Eagles included Chelsea Machleit in the 200-meter dash, Tylynn Register in the triple jump; Shayla Dennis in the discus and the 4×100-meter relay team of Machleit, Register Marie Gilliland and Lark Cole.
Also earning points were Cole (5th in the 100-meter dash), Laura Sisk (5th in the long jump and triple jump), Kade Swindall (5th in the shot put, 7th in the discus) and Shayla Dennis (8th in the shot put).
The Eagles’ high finisher was Phillip Ward, who posted a 12:33 time in the 3200-meter run. Ward also came in 13th in the 400-meter dash.
