Lions set scoring record in win over Locust Fork

Sardis set a school single-game scoring record in a 68-48 win over Locust Fork last Friday in the Loins’ Class 4A, Region 6 opener.

The Lions (1-1, 1-0) scored 10 touchdowns.

Sardis senior running back Toby Pee rushed 23 times for 288 yards and four touchdowns and caught four passes for 127 yards and two scores, giving him a career-high six touchdown.

Junior quarterback Will Scott completed 16-of-19 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns.

Juan Ramos returned a kickoff 92 yards for a score, while Brett Rains returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown.
