Local business owner named as Alabama Retail Association officer

The Alabama Retail Association recently completed its selection of officers and board of director members for 2024, and a local business owner is on the list.

Jodie Stanfield, owner of Local Joe’s in Rainbow City and Albertville, is a 2024 officer. Stanfield is the immediate past chairman of the officers, is an executive committee member and will also serve on the board of directors.

Stanfield is the only executive committee member for the organization from Etowah County. Peter “Greg” Gregerson Jr. of Gregerson’s Foods in Gadsden is an ex-officio director for the association.

The other officers are as follows: Michael Gee, chairman; Susan Anderson, vice chairman; Bob Akers, treasurer; and Richard E. Brown Jr., president.

Gee, Anderson, Akers and Brown serve as Alabama Retail’s executive committee along with Stanfield and Melissa Cross, executive committee designee. The board secretary is Jennifer Henderson.

The 2024 directors for the Alabama Retail Association are Bob Akers, Susan Anderson, Bradley Bailey, Dustin Beaty, Molly Cagle, Michael Cohen, Melissa Cross, Kealon Drake, Michael Gee, Jheovanny Gomez, Mandy Henry, Howard Johnson, David S. Marks III, Will Meacham, Melissa Parker-Paul, Katherine Raynor, Robert A. Robicheaux, Shane Spiller, Jodie Stanfield, Beth Staula, Lynsey Todd, Chad Wester, John M. Wilson, Jimmy Wright and Scott Zinda.

Ex-officio directors, who include past presidents and chairmen, are Rodney Barstein, Darrell Bourne, Frederick W. “Ricky” Bromberg, Peter V. “Greg” Gregerson Jr., Claude “Bud” Kitchin IV, Todd Noden, Jim Rotenstreich, Jacob Shevin, Jimmy D. Smith, Jimmy Ray Smith, Dianne Wammack and George Wilder.

Terms started on January 1, 2024.
