Visit America’s most scenic shopping mall during the World’s Longest Yard Sale August 3-6 in Gadsden. The journey begins in Gadsden atop Lookout Mountain and spans more than 690 miles to Hudson, Michigan.
Hundreds of vendors will set up shop throughout Noccalula Park, which includes a miniature train ride, a botanical garden, the Pioneer Village, the Black Creek Trail System and a 90-foot-tall waterfall.
After a full day of shopping, head to historic downtown Gadsden for First Friday on August 6. Broad Street is closed to traffic to enjoy cars, food vendors, live entertainment and outdoor dining, including pubs and breweries. At 9 p.m. the Summer Concert Series is live at the Mort Glosser Amphitheater. The show is free, and cushions and coolers are welcome.
Heading up Lookout Mountain Parkway from Noccalula Falls Park towards Fort Payne, miles of yard sales will be in every yard parking lot and intersection. Find everything from collectibles, antiques, dish wares, furniture and fresh farm and garden produce.
