Patrinka Juanita Mulkey

Patrinka Juanita Mulkey, lovingly known as PJ, of Gadsden, AL, passed away peacefully on August 4th, 2025. She was born in Piedmont, AL on July 11th, 1955, to the late Franklin D. Bowen and Jewell I. Bowen.

PJ was a devoted mother, cherished Nunna, and beloved sister. She poured her heart into her family, and nothing brought her more joy than cooking for the people she loved. Her warmth, laughter, and strength touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her three children: Karry Beck (Billy), Christina Mulkey, and Page Mulkey (Lisa); her six grandchildren: Jacob Bryant (Courtney), Kimberly Bryant, Alana Mulkey (Lucas), Grayson Dayton, and Zaren Mulkey; and seven great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 10th at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Mount Gilead Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in PJ’s memory to a charity of your choice. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the compassionate staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center and Southern Care Hospice for their exceptional care and support.

PJ’s legacy of love, resilience, and family will live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
