Caylie Moore

Caylie Moore, a longtime resident of the Duck Springs community, knows just how big the hearts of her fellow Southerners are, and she is determined to make sure that the rest of the world knows it, too.

Having grown up in the South, Caylie has seen the hard-working, welcoming and warm spirits of its people firsthand. Although she doesn’t know what the future holds for her, she knows that that home is where the heart is. Through her work on featured stories — stories that focus on real people living real lives — she hopes to make one thing clear: her heart is in the hands of the people.

With a bachelor’s degree in English from Columbia University, plus two years of combined experience working at the student-run newspaper Bwog as a staff writer and Anniston Star as a freelance correspondent, Caylie strives to tell the stories that have been pushed to the margins — then, now, and for as long as her hands can still put a pen to paper.

To let Caylie know about potential story ideas, contact her at [email protected].
